We’re excited to share an important update about the future of Full Potential Physical Therapy. While ownership of the practice is changing, our commitment to providing exceptional, personalized care remains the same. You’ll continue to see the same familiar faces, receive care at the same location, and experience the welcoming environment you’ve come to know and trust.
Please take a moment to read the letters below to learn more about this transition.
Over the course of my career, I have written many newsletters on a variety of subjects, but this one is unique among them.
This year, I celebrate my 40th year as a physical therapist and my 30th year as owner of Full Potential PT in Holland. It seems like a long time, but it actually feels quite the reverse. I am sure that is because I have found such fulfillment in helping others.
Some of you may remember Full Potential when it first started, when it was just myself treating. As I became more capable as a PT, I became increasingly aware of how meaningful it is to make a difference in people’s lives. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with thousands of people from our local community, each with a different story, a different challenge, and a different goal. Assisting each of these individuals in reaching their physical goals has been extremely rewarding on a personal level.
As the business grew, I learned that working alongside a staff who shares the same purpose only magnifies the satisfaction. The more ability we had to assist patients, the more lives we touched, and it became a true win-win.

Yet, like all careers, there is a beginning and there is an end.
After 3 decades owning and managing Full Potential, it became time to think about the next era for both myself and the clinic. For me, part of the challenge in concluding my career was determining how to transition the business I founded into the hands of someone who would continue to further the purpose of Full Potential and who values the relationships we have established with our staff, our physicians, and our patients.
Many of you know the value I place on local, independent businesses. Physical therapy is becoming more in demand, and with the shift toward preventative care, there is no shortage of interest from larger healthcare organizations in acquiring successful local practices. While there can be advantages to different models of healthcare, I have always believed that maintaining the personal relationships and individualized care that have defined Full Potential is especially important. Not only for our brand, but for our staff, our referring physicians, and ultimately, for our patients.
Since the beginning, Full Potential was built with the intention of serving the community with quality, individualized care. It was a big ask in this world of corporate acquisitions, but as I began to explore the option of retiring, it was of the utmost importance to me to find someone who would step into my role with appreciation of Full Potential’ mission, history, and reputation, and who shared a vision for what the future of Full Potential could continue to be.

I am very pleased to say I have found that person.
Michael Jones, PT, DPT, owns and operates AmeriFirst Physical Therapy and Wellness in Jenison, Michigan. Among other similar priorities, Dr. Jones places a high value on one-to-one care, which you may recognize as a mainstay of Full Potential. It is an important part of our winning formula for building trust and long-term relationships with our patients and their physicians. He is a practicing PT, an ambitious and thoughtful individual, and his treatment and ownership style are in line with my own.
It is a pleasure to share with you that Full Potential PT will be transitioning to Dr. Jones’ ownership on September 1, 2026.
It is our intention that the operation of Full Potential and the care you receive will continue as it has been, with very few changes. Truthfully, I doubt you will notice much difference in the day-to-day care we are providing.
Finding someone who can build on what I have started is a dream come true. I feel blessed to have crossed paths with Dr. Jones. Our vision for what physical therapy can do for our community in West Michigan is strongly aligned, and I am confident in his leadership for Full Potential’s future.
My Next Chapter
As for me, my own role in the business will be a gradual transition away from management while I remain involved in patient care as needed. I will be assisting in the transition and doing everything I can to make it a complete success.
And while this transition marks the beginning of my retirement from the ownership and management of Full Potential, I don’t view it simply as an ending. I see it as the beginning of a new chapter—one that allows me to step back, reflect on an incredibly rewarding career, and remain connected to the profession and the people who have meant so much to me.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have spent my career serving this community. I appreciate each of you who have supported myself and Full Potential along this journey, and I look forward to watching FPPT continue to grow under its new leadership. It has been a pleasure to have made a difference in your life.
With gratitude,
Vince

Meet Michael Jones, PT, DPT, and learn more about the next chapter for Full Potential Physical Therapy.
It is a pleasure and an honor to introduce myself following Vince’s news regarding the next chapter for Full Potential Physical Therapy. My name is Michael Jones, and I am the founder and owner of AmeriFirst Physical Therapy and Wellness in Jenison. In September, I will also become the owner of Full Potential. I remain a practicing physical therapist, with a particular interest in cervical/neck pain, headaches, TMJ pain, and balance rehabilitation.
AmeriFirst operates much like Full Potential, prioritizing effective and individualized care, and placing a high importance on the teamwork between patient and therapist. Much like Vince, I was inspired to begin my own practice in order to bring high-quality, one-to-one care to patients. The decisions I make both as a provider and owner are centralized on ensuring the best possible patient experiences and outcomes.
As Vince and I have gotten to know each other, it has become clear that we are very aligned in our beliefs about the role physical therapy should play in health care, the value of private practice, and the ability private practice gives clinicians to provide thoughtful, tailored care to each patient.
I recognize that many of you have known and trusted Vince and Full Potential with your care for many years —and, in some cases, decades. While he decreases his involvement in business management, I look forward to meeting the patients and community members who have been supporting Full Potential throughout its rich history and continuing to build upon those relationships. You are an essential part of this clinic’s story and success.
My goal is not to change what has made Full Potential successful, but to build on the strong foundation in place by bringing Full Potential and AmeriFirst together. In fact, if I do my job well, you should notice very little difference in your experience.
To introduce myself more personally, I enjoy exercising, participating in triathlons, traveling, and spending time with my family. My wife and I have a two-year-old son and are expecting our second boy this December. It will certainly be a year of change for us in many ways! As our family continues to grow here in West Michigan, so does my passion to participate in building something meaningful for our community.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue what Vince and this team have created. Full Potential’s legacy of clinical excellence and individualized care are aligned strongly with my own purpose, and I look forward to carrying its mission forward and earning your trust in the years ahead.
Sincerely,
Michael Jones, PT, DPT
