Full Potential Physical Therapy is a privately owned, out-patient orthopedic company that has a 27 year history of serving the Holland community. Full Potential is in search of a dependable and energetic Physical Therapist in Holland, MI who is skilled in out-patient orthopedic care. They should have a verifiable history of success in caring for acute to chronic orthopedic patients, and demonstrate competence in the treatment of the spine and extremities. We are seeking individuals who enjoy helping people, and working in private practice with a collaborative team environment. The successful candidate must be dependable, express excellent communication skills and confidence in bringing patients through their full plan of care.

Education: postgraduate degree

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program approved by the Commission for the Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education.
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in Michigan.
  • A person who can meet the physical and mental demand level of the position.

Skills:

  • Proficient in the evaluation and assessment process to understand the root cause of a patient’s pain pattern.
  • Strong patient engagement and communication skills to encourage compliance with the Plan of Care (POC).
  • Skilled in manual treatment, including joint and soft tissue mobilization, to correct joint asymmetry and muscle imbalances.
  • Knowledge of muscle retraining strategies for addressing acute and chronic conditions of the spine and extremities.
  • Ability to document while treating and manage time efficiently while staying compliant with insurance requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments/evaluations and other physical therapy services to patients and/or clients for injury prevention, restorative and/or maintenance rehabilitation, and health promotion.
  • Participate in activities and educational endeavors to promote and attain regulatory compliance at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Evaluate and treat patients/clients, develop and carry out patient-specific Plans of Care with associated goals, including quantifiable physical and functional targets.
  • Comply with professional and/or regulatory documentation, billing, and coding requirements, including but not limited to timely and accurate entries.
  • Provide assessments, treatments, instructions, and other physical therapy services according to the scope of practice limitations per State statute.
