Does my doctor decide where I get physical therapy?
The short answer is “no”! You have a choice in where you go for physical therapy. There are no laws or regulations that control where someone receives PT, except if they are using worker’s compensation insurance. A potential physical therapy provider should be chosen by looking for a history of getting good results.
